Our parent company, VSI, started penetrating the international software outsourcing market in the year 2000, through a separate software outsourcing division for the first six years.
Due to the significant differences between the business model needed to address the local Vietnamese market and that necessary for the world market, VSII was established to spin-off the international software outsourcing business as a separate entity, The aim was to allow both VSI and VSII to focus on and achieve excellence in their core businesses.
In 2002, VSII started the first project for IBM USA, the beginning of our successful long-term business relationship with IBM. The newly established company successfully scaled up from 19 developers in 2005, to 100 developers in 2007, and 145 developers by October 2008.
Core Business
The company has quickly moved from common software services to higher end services and proprietary products which include both software and services. Our current core business is to provide Software Project Outsourcing Services (independently implemented software projects) and to work as an Offshore Dedicated Center (ODC) for clients.
Typical Software Outsourcing Services tasks include:
- Software development: proprietary product development; Internet business applications; Java/J2EE, Microsoft.Net and SharePoint, PHP, Flex-based, Embedded Software and Real-time OS programming and development services.
- Migration and maintenance: application and data migration service; porting of legacy applications to new technology platforms (SOA, Web based, distributed), migration of C/C++ code to embedded systems; maintenance of existing databases and applications.
- Software testing services: full range of test services for various types of applications using advanced test methodologies and tools.
- Website development and graphic design: website design and development; professional website content update and editing.
