This solid grounding in business issues makes VSII a particularly valuable collaborative partner, often contributing beyond just technical expertise. Our management team also has a sound academic background in informatics and a long track-record of successfully running a software development business.
Mr. Tran Luong Son: Chairman
Mr. Son graduated with a Ph.D. from the University of Moscow and a Master’s Degree in Management of Technology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and was a research fellow at the University of North Carolina’s Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise. He is co-founder of VietSoftware and VietSoftware International, President of the Northern Vietnamese Software Cluster, and the author of several strategy papers for the cluster.
Mr. Le Xuan Hai: Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Hai is in responsible for overall management, business development, human resource management, finance and accounting as well as procurement and investment strategies for VSII.
Mr. Hai graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics and Computing Science in 1984 and then pursued a Post Graduate Course in Computer Graphics in Germany (1988). In 1995, he obtained a Master’s Degree in Computing Science from the University of New England, New South Wales, Australia.
Mr. Hai has over 20 years of professional experience in computer science.
Before co-founding VSII, he worked as a Project Manager for a French Outsourcing Project from 1992 – 1993 and as an Information Technology Manager for the Caterpillar dealership for Vietnam (1995 – 1998). He was co-founder and Technical Director of ELINCO Co. Ltd, an information technology and electronics enterprise in Vietnam, where he worked from 1998 – 2003. In the year 2000, he co-founded VietSoftware Inc, where he held the post of Vice General Director and Chief Technology Officer.
Ms. Pham Thi Kieu Lien: Vice General Director, Director of Operations
Ms. Lien has been in charge of operations and quality assurance since 2005.
Ms. Lien graduated with an Engineering Degree in Electronics at the Moscow Power Engineering University in the former USSR in 1984. She then obtained a Master's Degree in Computer Science at the Victoria University, Australia.
Before working for VSII, she held several different positions in computer science. She was senior Engineering Manager for Masan IT; Senior Engineering Manager for Paragon Solutions Vietnam, a subsidiary of Paragon Solutions, Inc., U.S.A; General Director of Coco Software Engineering Vietnam Ltd., a subsidiary of Coco Software Engineering GmbH, Austria. Her areas of expertise include banking software solutions, project management and quality management.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung: Vice General Director, Director of Software & Service Development
Mr. Tung’s responsibilities include business development, training and workforce building and production.
Mr. Tung graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Computer Engineering from Azerbaijan University of Technology, Baku (formerly in the USSR). He then obtained a PhD in IT and Applied Mathematics from Belarusian State University, Minsk (in the former USSR).
Mr. Tung has over 20 years of professional computer science experience. He developed one of the first software outsourcing projects in Vietnam for the French market, participated in Vietnam IT Training Project under a ODA project funded by Japanese Government from 1997 - 2002. Before joining VSII in 2006, Mr. Tung worked for 4 years as a General Business and Finance Market Manager for IBM Vietnam.
VSII's middle-management team (e.g. the leaders of the development centers) is particularly strong. The middle management team on the technical level (heads of software development centers) will be further developed in line with our planned expansion.
